The One With The Pioneer Mean Girls Club. The Music Box S3 Ep 19
What starts off with a birthday present to Laura quickly turns into another opportunity for Nellie Oleson to prove how rotten she really is when she starts an all girls club. Caught in the crosshairs is Anna Gilberg, a young girl with a stutter, that Nellie just can't seem to leave alone. Out of anger in regards to Nellie's treatment of Anna and possibly her own disappointment about her Birthday present, Laura steals a music box from Nellie Oleson's room. With full intentions of returning the trinket, Laura is mesmerized by the melody until she accidentally knocks the box over and makes the notes go sour. Eventually caught with the music box by Nellie, Laura promises her servitude, once again, and then tries to find a way out of the trouble she's in. With her time spent trying to hang out with Anna in addition to not get caught in the lies she has created, Laura starts to have some rather judiciary dreams that leave her feeling even more guilty. Her new behavior does not go unnoticed by Big Sister Mary, Charles and even Anna. When it looks as thought Nellie has seen the error of her ways and finally allows Anna to join the club, Laura seems in the clear. Sadly, Anna can only join if she can say the secret password. Realize she would rather be truthful than Hurtful, Laura comes clean not only to her family but also Mr. Oleson, who happens to have his own opinion about how Nellie treats people. Olga, Ginny, Anna....What is Laura's obsession with helping Blonde hair, Blue-eyed girls out? Why does it feel as though there was too much crammed into this episode? How many doll houses does Nellie Oleson really need?
