The Washington Capitals fall to the Panthers in overtime to tie the series at 2-2

The Washington Capitals lose to the Florida Panthers in game 4. The Capitals were ahead for a majority of the game until Florida Panthers head coach Andrew Burnette pulled his goalie with 3:09 in the third. That gamble paid off for his team as Sam Reinhart tied the game. The game went to overtime and Carter Verhaeghe gets a goal and wins it for the Panthers in game 4

The Washington Capitals played well overall and saw goals from Evgeny Kuznetsov, and T.J. Oshie. Ilya Samsonov played well in the loss and made 29 saves on 32 shots.

The Series goes back to Florida for game 5.
