The amazing story of the three Hampden Parks and the Scotch Professors who taught football around the world
Andy Bargh chats with Graeme Brown of the Hampden Collection and Lindsay Hamilton of the Glasgow Football Tour. Two cracking people who devote a lot of their free time to researching and teaching the stories of the Scotch Professors, a group of men who invented the modern football and spread the word all over the globe. Things such as passing and moving and the offside rule were created in Scotland, to replace dribbling, no passing forwards style more similar to rugby! They also chat about the remarkable discovery and confirmation of the first Hampden Park, the world's first ever purpose-built football stadium in Glasgow's southside, that was almost lost to folklore. A story that evokes pride and joy. Please enjoy!
