This is a hi def recording of The Letterman Podcast. It was first broadcast on FB live, in a livestream format that had some glitches. If there were an episode where Mike makes it about him, this is it. Normally, it will be his honor to make every single episode about the guest, and the conversation. In this episode however, Mike reads, The Lettermanifesto; his retelling of his brush with the show, making David Letterman laugh, and getting their exchange in the New York Times and the New Yorker, in a photo taken by a Pulitzer winning photographer no less.
Mike certainly shows why he believes he is the guy to host The Letterman Podcast. He may convince you the same thing with his display of passion to holding and passing the torch that is the body of work by David Letterman & Company. They know who they are, those who worked on the show. For a long term to a one semester internship, these gals and guys were a family. Mike lets them know how thankful he is for them and is dedicating his Podcast run to them. Morty too. Oh, and if anyone knows Chris Elliott please have him reach out! We would love to have him on. Lastly, we are uploading this episode on May 7, the day Mike is going to see Dave live along with his wife, and hope to meet him to sign the photo. Even seeing him perform live will certainly be the next chapter. But what if it could be bigger? He will report back in the next FB live bonus episode. Stay Tuned, and please subscribe, like and share this show on all the usual, and unusual channels to get the show out there.
