We talk about her time working as an intern for a literary agent, leaving one literary agent for another, how she wrote about a protagonist of a different ethnicity than her own in HOUR OF THE BEES (and why she’s not interested in doing it again), how she committed to writing, getting away with a lengthier wordcount in middle grade, getting over a fear of ghosts, and so much more.
