There is a lot of noise out there about how to live our lives as mommas who try to do it all under one roof. We're momming, homeschooling, wifing, and CEOing. ALL THE "INGS" and it can be overwhelming and stressful to sift through all the "how-to's" to make sense of what to do next in all these areas of our lives. Right?
Because, surely the answers we're looking for must be from other people, who have the experience and the knowledge and the expertise, because, well, how else would we find it?
This is what many of us mommas believe. Look outside ourselves to find the happiness, joy, peace, and presence we crave.
In his book, The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry, author John Mark Comer says this,
"What if the secret to a happy life—and it is a secret, an open one but a secret nonetheless; how else do so few people know it?—what if the secret isn’t “out there” but much closer to home? What if all you had to do was slow down long enough for the merry-go-round blur of life to come into focus?
What if the secret to the life we crave is actually easy?"
There's a theme I see creeping up. And it is this.
We so desperately want to create a life different from the one we're currently living. We spend a lot of time, energy, and focus thinking about what we truly want. And yet, we still look to others to point the way. What if I told you there is no one-size-fits-all way to motherhood, homeschool, marriage, or business?
In today's episode we talk about why keeping it simple is the key to a life of less overwhelm and burnout. And it's a sneak peek of an upcoming training and mini-course available soon!
I hope you enjoy it!
