Resilience has emerged as a critical factor in the way that Australia tackles natural disasters, pandemics and supply chain issues. Our complex strategic environment also demands national and regional resilience across an array of critical infrastructure and capabilities, such as information and communications technology, and energy supply. Delivering air and space power requires a resilient Defence workforce, infrastructure and enterprise. In this session, Dr Gibson explores the evolving concept of resilience and new ways of thinking about national resilience, including the Margin of Manoeuvre concept.
