Tom Slick: Most Interesting Man in the World? S.1 Ep.43
This week we tackle the famous monster hunter known as Tom Slick Jr. We start by covering his father, Tom Slick Sr, and how he came to be an oil tycoon and one of the richest men in America then we jump right into Tom Slick Jr's monster loving life. He first tried to by a Hoat (Hog Goat hybrid) and when he couldn't buy one, he attempted to breed his own. He then was on holiday with a group of friends in Europe but hijacked the whole caravan to go searching for the Loch Ness Monster in 1937. Then in 1956 he began his legendary hunt for an even more legendary creature, the Yeti. This hunt would lead to international laws being made and would end when Tom had injury during a bus crash. He then would set his sights on the pacific northwest to search for the legendary Sasquatch. But along the way, he would stop and look for our new friend the Trinity Alps Giant Salamander. We also talk about Slick's celebrity connections, research foundations he formed, industrial patents, world peace goals, collection of fine art, and his tragic death. Join us this week as we stand in the shadow of this giant on Cryptids of the Corn.
