Did you know the skill of quieting is one of the strongest predictors for good mental health across the lifespan? Then why do so few Americans even want to learn how to quiet? It's as if "busy" has become an answer to "how are you?" We've become so identified with the "busy" epidemic through distractions, media, and "more is better", that we hardly notice it's more lethal than any virus. It eventually catches up with not only our bodies, but our minds, souls and spirits as well.
In this episode we are going to unpack what quieting has to do with relationships and our attachment to God and others. Even if we think we have never learned to quiet, never could, we actually already have learned to quiet. We just need to learn to do it more and recognize our need for it. When practiced for just a few minutes per day, this exercise over time will re-ignite and strengthen your attachment bonds and your ability to let them quiet you, with both God and others. Its sure to become a part of your lifestyle and one of your favorite skills.
