Dom and Danielle are accompanied by their good friend, Rozlyn, to walk through an introduction to Song of Songs.
Much of the Song has been avoided a most or at worst selective for various purposes. Most individuals have not even heard preached from the Song on a Sunday morning to a collective congregation, and few still have only been a part of a study of the book. In addition, most attest to an allegorical interpretation that is reflective and explanatory of the relationship between Christ and the Church for Christians just as between God and Israel for Jewish understanding. So why is that?
Dom navigates through different reason for that along with challenging the allegorical interpretation. He poses thought into why Solomon is not the author, what Solomon’s involvement is in the Song, the influences on the Song from Egyptian love poetry, and how and why the Song is in our canon of Scripture.
