What Houston Eats (and Drinks) to Beat the Summer Heat
It's blazing hot – with no relief in sight! As all-time temp records drop like flies, so does the morale of Houstonians sweltering in this unreasonable, unseasonable heat. So! What can we eat - or drink - to bring us back to life? Something sweet? Perhaps something cold? Or, maybe something nostalgic, to remind us of summers past? It's team chat Thursday! And with an extra Houstonian in the house (Roving producer Carlignon Jones!) we discuss all the wonderful refreshments that Houston has to offer its sun-scorched citizens this summer...
Here's some of the wonderful things mentioned in the episode:
Dina's nitrogen-infused ice cream cereal puffs at Dragon's Breath, in Cypress.
The cheese Dina said goes great with watermelon! Wadi Zahle Nabulsi cheese.
Lemon mint tea! You can find it at Sayad Grill, and also at La Pasha.
Crawfish at BB's Tex-Orleans.
Somisomi - the Korean soft-serve, green tea - go Here!
A Dippin' Dots locator! Go here!
