John Muir, who is also known as “John of the Mountains” and “Father of National Parks”, who was an early advocate for the preservation of wilderness in the US, has a quote: “The clearest way into the Universe is through a forest wilderness.”  Today, however, we’ll be talking about the stories of the Appalachian Trail hikers who never made it back from their dream walk.
