Season 3 Podcast 120 Six Laws All Christians Should Know, Pt I, The Law of Justice A
Six Laws All Christians Should Know Pt II The Law of Justice A
There are six laws that all Christians should know to understand the workings of the Almighty.
1. The Law of Creation
2. The Law of Justice
3. The Law of Mercy
4. The Law of Opposition
5. The Law of Agency
6. The Law of Eternal Progression.
In Podcast 108 we addressed The Law of Creation. In this podcast, named Pt A, and the podcast that follows, named Pt B we shall address The Law of Justice.
We have laws of God, laws of nature, and laws of man; therefore, what is law? There is a vast difference between the laws of God and the laws of man.
· God’s laws are absolute. Man’s laws are relative.
· God’s laws cannot be repealed, voted on, or changed. Man’s laws can.
· God’s laws are eternal; man’s laws are temporal.
· God’s laws deal with heavenly government; man’s laws deal with manmade government.
Though all laws of God are spiritual, they are conveniently divided into Laws of God and Laws of Nature or Spiritual Laws and Temporal laws. There are certain assumptions of laws of God and nature that we must understand.
1. Laws must be absolute.
2. Laws must be fixed.
3. Laws must have conditions.
4. Laws must be unique.
5. Laws must be predictable.
6. Laws must be irreducible.
7. Laws must deal with self-existing matter and energy.
8. Laws must have a purpose.
9. Laws must be incontrovertible.
10. Laws must be self-evident.
11. Laws must be independent.
12. Laws must be ubiquitous.
13. Laws must be organized into complete sets.
14. Laws cannot self-exist.
15. Laws cannot contradict each other.
The list, of course, is not complete but the above is a good start to understanding the laws of God or the nature of God. The above attributes apply to all laws of God, but in this podcast, I need to distinguish between The Law of Creation and the Law of Justice.
The law of Justice governs all other laws, including the law of creation and the law of mercy. The law of justice is the supreme law of the universe and can never be changed, altered, or compromised. The law of justice must be satisfied not modified. As much as we need mercy, we need justice more. Because chaos is absolute, the law of justice must be absolute. The law of justice is the only thing that keeps chaos in check. Think of chaos as the great nothingness, the quintessential disorder, what scientists call maximum equilibrium. In our world of entropy and death we well know how things move inexorably from order to disorder, from life to death. Chaos is the absence of law. The level of chaos reflects the level of law. Absolute chaos is absolute disorder.
That explains assumption number one.
1. Laws must be absolute
Without absolute laws, everything would return to chaos.
The law of justice is why we have a law of creation and why we need a law of mercy. Justice is not merciful as we understand mercy. Justice shows no compassion. It cannot show compassion and still be just. Chaos is not merciful; therefore, justice cannot be merciful. Because there is chaos, we need the law of justice.
