EP158 Men, Sexual Addiction and Childhood Pain. My Interview with Dr. Eddie Capparucci
Welcome to Episode 158 where I have a conversation with Dr. Eddie Capparucci, a PhD and certified addiction counselor, about men who struggle with sexual addiction and lack of emotional agility.
Eddie is an author and therapist who specializes in the treatment of sexual and pornography addiction. He is the creator of the Inner Child Model, which has been endorsed by many leaders in the sex addiction field.
This therapy focuses on identifying childhood pain points that still haunt those who struggle with addiction. By helping individuals understand "why" sex has had a stronghold on their lives, the Inner Child Model empowers them to make real changes.
This treatment differs from other in that it seeks to change an individual's heart instead of simply trying to remove a destructive behavior.
You can learn more about the Inner Child Model and his book at www.innerchild-sexaddiction.com
This is the book that Eddie will be talking about on the show today. It was such a great opportunity to connect with someone who is doing so much to help men. Not just with addiction issues but healing old wounds and finding ways to live better. I’m looking forward to having him on again to discuss his new book so stay tuned.
