SITD 6/29/22: Rosser wins Strong Title, Briggs/Jensen win NXT UK Tag Titles

John Siino reviews this week’s editions of AEW Dark, AEW Dark: Elevation, NXT UK, IMPACT Wrestling, NXT Level Up, NJPW Strong, NWA USA, NWA Powerrr, and WWE Main Event in under 15 minutes on Shot In The Dark.

This week on NJPW Strong, Fred Rosser finally overcame Tom Lawlor to win the Strong Openweight Championship, Minoru Suzuki takes on the debuting Tony Deppen and David Finlay looks to shut up Danny Limelight.

NXT UK starts with Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter having to vacate the NXT UK Tag Team Championship which sets up a fatal four-way elimination main event with Mark Andrews & Wild Boar, Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz, Die Familie and NXT 2.0’s Brooks Jensen & Josh Briggs. Sarray also makes her debut taking on Nina Samuels.

On WWE Main Event, we see the first of many title changes as Doudrop takes the 24/7 Championship from Dana Brooke, as well as Finn Balor & Damian Priest of The Judgment Day take on Dominik & Rey Mysterio.

Also, Max Caster & Gunn Club vs. the Dark Order on AEW Dark: Elevation, Ikemen Jiro vs. the returning Ru Feng on NXT Level Up, Jax Dane defends the National Championship on NWA USA, Commonwealth Connections defends the Tag Team Championship against La Rebelion in a Lucha Rules match on NWA Powerrr, Wheeler Yuta defends the ROH Pure Championship against Tony Nese on the 150th episode of AEW Dark, Honor No More looks to take out Mark Briscoe on IMPACT Wrestling and more!
