Welcome back to another episode of the Recruitment Round-Up with Toby and Nadia at Harrington Starr.
This week, the pair reflect on the lessons we can all learn after seeing worldwide efforts and campaigns to celebrate International Women's Day. Nadia asks us to reflect on what we post online in aid of this important day and to think about what we are actually implementing away from our screens to make our environments better for our people.
What does your workplace culture look like after the dust settles?
The gender pay gap has come into many conversations this week and Nadia and Toby contemplate how it's configured. "It’s not only what salary you come in on, it’s how open is access to promotion? Is there a level playing field for investment or getting put on the best projects? It’s about getting recognised correctly... The attribution of credit and that promotion piece is huge."
What's more, the two get excited about Nadia's upcoming book launch, which takes place at Schroders' London HQ on Tuesday 15th March at 10:30am. (Yes, there are still a few tickets left and you can tune in virtually!)
Nadia's book is all about advocacy for change and offers the reader opportunities to learn how to truly walk the talk for inclusion. This launch is an integral part of Nadia's journey as an inclusion campaigner, alongside her recently making the cover of Recruiter Magazine!
