The FinTech Talent Bottleneck – How to Improve Accessibility and Education in a Broken System
With the return of the FinTech Focus TV Debate Series, we have an amazing line up to launch and to kick off 2022 with.
Joining Toby, we welcome an illustrious panel of industry pioneers; Ian Bagshaw, Joel Brown-Christenson, Matthew Cheung and Professor Mohammad Ali as they discuss their passion for building careers and available resources to the marketplace which are accessible for all people of all backgrounds.
Each of our guests play a certain role in building career paths for young people who are considering their journeys after and during secondary/higher education. The group debate whether traditional university degrees are becoming obsolete and how hands-on experience, either through apprenticeships or training programmes, are becoming increasingly more valued in the eyes of FinTech employers.
All of our guests on this panel bring a variety of perspectives and thoughts on how to guide future generations to make the most out of their postgraduate, or undergraduate, career journeys.
One thing that does reign true amongst all, however, is the importance of providing the same opportunities for all prospective students of all backgrounds. We must break the cycle of limiting these opportunities to just the privileged and allow for a much more varied and diverse learning environment.
