E65 - Eagle: The Making of an Asian-American President (Vol.2)
Its 4th of July time, so we dive back into the safety of fictional political shenanigans, as we follow the journey of international reporter Takeshi Jo as he covers the political career of the first serious asian-american candidate for President, Senator Kenneth Yamaoka. However, recent revelations have revealed that the senator may also secretly be the father he never knew, and that his mother's recent untimely death may have not been an accident. While dealing with that bombshell, and the other trials of the campaign trail, Jo has to handle the hurdles of his recent love-affair with Rachel Yamaoka, who due to recent revelations is potentially his half-sister. But she's adopted, so that bullet is slightly dodged. This week, Matt, Sam, Jae, and Jacob read and discuss Eagle: The Making of an Asian-American President by Kaiji Kawaguchi.
