Our current three episodes will sound a little different as we hand the reigns over and begin our In-Conversation series for NAIDOC week.
In this episode, Barb Sheehy, our National Indigenous Manager, had the opportunity to sit down with the imitable Ian Hamm and talk about NAIDOC week, his insights on reconciliation and where he really sees this heading for Australia.
If you don’t or haven’t head about Ian yet, we hope this introduction helps you out:
Ian has extensive government and community sector experience, particularly at executive and governance levels and has overseen major policy and strategic reforms for government and community organisations. Working with people from a vast array of backgrounds, managing complex and sensitive relationships has meant that Ian can achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Ian now devotes himself to improving the representation of Aboriginal people on boards and other high-level governance, through strategic action, advocacy and mentoring and you’ll hear Barb talk to Ian more about this this.
You will also hear Ian talk about NAIDOC week and how he shows up plus Ian’s key points in relation to what you can do to Get up! Stand up! Show up!
As always, we would love to hear from you. If you have any comments, questions, suggestions or queries, please feel free to contact our team by emailing them on: retailacademy@auspost.com.au
