Rev. Charles Martin "Marty" Davis was born in Cleveland, TN on Feb. 22, 1962. He graduated from Cleveland High School in '80 and went on to UTC for undergrad, then to UVA for his Masters. Soon after graduating, Marty felt a new calling and decided to go to Seminary at Sewanee for his Masters in Divinity, becoming an Episcopalian Priest. At the time Marty was ordained, he was the youngest in the state at the age of 29 years old and the first openly gay Episcopal Priest in the Chattanooga area. Marty went on to do amazing things for the St. Elmo community in Chattanooga, even played a massive role in the merging of two segregated churches and there is so much more he would have accomplished, if his life wasn't cut short. There are thousands of pieces to this case and theories as to what happened to Marty Davis - circulating churches, people of power, and individuals that live in the area. We are the first to cover Marty's case since 2007, there is very little out there on his murder. But we're going to change that. Marty's case is currently being handled by the Hamilton County DA's Office Cold Case Unit, which is weeks away from being shut down because of the changing of office. Once Marty's case is back in the hands of Chattanooga Police Department, it will likely sit on a dusty shelf for another 25 years without pressing leads being sent in. MARTY DESERVES JUSTICE!
