On this week's episode of True Crime New England, Katie and Liz discuss Providence, Rhode Island serial killer Raymond Lassor. While his crimes spanned only over the summer of 1984, the marks he left behind on families and the community were everlasting. In the short time of his brutal killing spree, Raymond killed 3 women. All 3 of these victims were strangled as well as beaten and left in vulnerable positions. The only reason Raymond was caught was due to one of his victims defying odds and surviving. 14-year-old Carrie-Ann Talbot was strangled, beaten, stomped on, and sexually assaulted. She, luckily, regained consciousness and was able to tell police who her attacker was, leading to his arrest and the end of his terrible run of crimes. Raymond Lassor is serving several life sentences in a Rhode Island prison to this day.
