Shaedon Sharpe's debut with the Portland Trail Blazers at Summer League last all of five minutes before he left the game with a left shoulder injury. It was a quick and disappointing first night in a Blazers uniform for Sharpe, who could certainly use the seasoning in a five-on-five setting against professionals.
Luckily for Blazers fans a couple other young players had impressive opening games as Keon Johnson was Portland's best player and rookie Jabari Walker looked comfortable and competent in his first summer league action.
Plus, there were some real takeaways from summer league that will translate into the regular season. Portland's style was on full display in Vegas in some ways that were very telling for how this team plans to approach the real games in the fall.
