Black People with Celiac Can Have a Negative Blood Test
A Celiac disease registry at University of Alabama reveals potential issues in celiac disease diagnosis for black people.
Black people with biopsy confirmed celiac disease were more likely than non-Hispanic whites to have had negative results on the most commonly used diagnostic blood test, according to a presentation made recently at Digestive Disease Week.
