On this episode of The Hollywood Outsider podcast, with Thor: Love and Thunder blowing up theaters, we decided to take a look at movies or TV that changed their tone. For example, a show like The X-Files regularly altered its tone from comedy to sci-fi to horror with relative ease, while movies rebooted into completely new genres with films like 21 Jump Street and Baywatch. Changing the tone of a property is nothing new, but it does beg the question: is it worth the risk?
