We touched on pointy witches hats very briefly in the Halloween 'Black Cats & Pumpkins' episode in 2021, and it got me thinking about where this imagery comes from... I also had a lovely listener get in touch asking us to go into the meaning behind the witches broom - otherwise known as a Besom. So I thought I would put together an episode to look into the history and meaning behind the things that are perceived as 'witchy' - and most importantly why?!
