Benjamin Warsinske approached me on Twitter to be on his Bricks + Brand podcast and he invited me to be a member of his Bricks + Brand Mighty Network community he created for his podcast. It was my first video podcast and the first time I've seen a community created for this purpose. It inspired me to create my own for The Janus Oasis.
Benjamin talks about discovering that his gift for connecting people from various areas of his life and work had value. I'm actually a In his community, I discovered someone I know from another network I'm part of from Australia and one of my other guests on The Janus Oasis messaged me when I first started writing about Benjamin that she knows him via her work. Check out the episode on belonging with Shelley Brown. It does not surprise me that these two Chicago residents know each other but I had no idea before the episodes were recorded.
A theme that comes up time and time again during this season is the power of play to get people out of their heads and logical minds and embrace emotion. Benjamin uses Lego in his work and it's fun to hear how he combines Lego and strategy.
