Each person's pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding journey is unique. No two are ever the same. This also includes when an individual gives birth and lactates for multiple children. From how each child is planned and conceived to the ease or difficulty breastfeeding, each individual experience can vary drastically. Although it is important to educate yourself to be as prepared as possible, the variables that occur in each situation can contribute to things going the opposite way you would have hoped. This can lead to issues with mental health, thoughts of terminating breastfeeding early, or even losing trust in the healthcare system all together. This is why having trusted and supportive individuals that understand the nuances in each situation can help in ways that a doctor or hospital can’t.Erinn Tanguay, married for 20 years to her high school sweetheart and mother of four, joins on today’s episode to take us through her journey giving birth and breastfeeding her four children.
