Special Pitchfork Episode featuring Xenia Rubinos, Kaina, and Arooj Aftab
Welcome to Roadcase for this Special Episode where Josh takes it on the road to feature in-person interviews from the Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago last weekend (July 15-17) with three amazing artists, Xenia Rubinos, Kaina and 2022 Grammy Award winner Arooj Aftab. All three of these extraordinary artists each performed amazing, not-to-be-missed sets at Pitchfork and all have super diverse and interesting backgrounds, which we explore in these short-format live interviews direct from the Pitchfork festival grounds. Even more interesting, all three women have unique stories to share with a common thread about how they arrived where they are today; Arooj is Brooklyn-based but grew up in Pakistan, and Kaina and Xenia are both first-generation Americans of immigrant parents, and all their unique musical journeys express a deep influence of these beautiful, multicultural traditions. And what's even more cool is that they're all super fun and amazing humans!! So jump on the Roadcase bus and head to Union Park in Chicago to learn more about what these uber-talented artists are all about. It's a great time!!
