This week I am delighted introduce you to Dr Peta Wright, Integrative Gynaecologist and founder of Vera Women’s Wellness in Brisbane QLD. Dr Wright is deeply committed to the holistic treatment of womens health issues from PCOS and endometriosis to Hypothalamic Amenorrhea and fertility - a level of commitment that absolutely shines through in her voice and the ease in which she can explain very complex processes and conditions.
In this interview Dr Wright and I discuss the phases of the menstrual cycle as well as the importance of ovulation. She explains how Hypothalamic Amenorrhea is not a dysfunction but rather the body’s innate and correct response to an environment not conducive to making a baby. Peta also explains PCOS and this may sometimes be confused for Hypothalamic Amenorrhea but how important it is to clear any confusion before the correct and most appropriate treatment strategy can be applied.
I can’t wait for you to hear this episode with Dr Wright and I would love to know if you’d like to hear from her again.
