There are two kinds of people in the world.
Those who are afraid to fail and those who are afraid not to.
The people who are afraid to fail, will never be great. They’ll never try hard enough. They’ll never get enough help to do the thing right. They’ll never make it.
There is only one thing I have to say about people like Jocelyn, who are afraid not to:

Some of you know that I’ve been struggling to get it right lately. Some of the stuff I’ve been producing has been less than stellar.
I’m not proud of it. In fact, I’m embarrassed by it.
But it’s just… it’s just practice. And that’s really the whole story.
I got to a point where I thought I needed to get better at something in order to be successful. I needed to get better at writing or better at marketing or better at design.
I have to laugh at myself now, because everything we’ve ever built or written or taught in school is practice. We all have the chance to get better at everything all the time.
You just need practice–the kind of practice that takes you from good to great.
It’s not easy. If you’re afraid of that, this is the wrong place for you.
