In the summer of 1996, the world's best athletes and spectators from around the world converged on Atlanta for the 26th summer Olympic games. On July 26th, the event would be marred by a pipe bomb that exploded and killed 1 person and injured 111. Security guard Richard Jewel found the bag that the bomb was in and alerted authorities. Despite this, the media fueled rumors that he was the one who did it. We will take you through those events as well as the capture of the true perpetrator Eric Rudolph. We also cover the numerous lawsuits Jewel filed against various media outlets for the false information put out against him.
