Season 3 Podcast 152 Natural Laws vs Spiritual Laws Pt I
Natural Laws vs Spiritual Laws Pt I
The natural man blames God for calamity because he does not understand the natural consequences of law. Prophecy is not given to violate the law. The consequences of natural laws are deterministic. We live in a world of cause and effect as scientists so adeptly teach us. Spiritual laws are also governed by cause and effect because the law of justice is absolute. The miracle of spiritual law is that all consequences can be reversed through repentance and faith in in the atonement of Christ.
18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (Isaiah 1:18)
Prophecy is prediction of what happens if one obeys law or disobeys law, whether they are laws of nature or laws of God. Prophecy is related to consequences of laws. In temporal law, we call it prediction; in spiritual law we call it prophecy. The scientific method is based on prediction; the Holy Scriptures are based on prophecy. All laws are absolute whether temporal or spiritual.
Manmade laws have no authority over temporal laws or spiritual laws. Man determines consequences of manmade laws which can change with the times. However, when manmade laws contradict temporal laws or spiritual laws, then regardless of the consequences defined by man, the true consequences fall under the authority of absolute law. The primary cause of the fall of governments is brought about by man’s disregard for the laws of God and nature.
That is exactly what is happening in the United States today and if unchecked it will bring about our destruction. Society today, so caught up in causes, is losing the ability to determine true cause and effect. It is common now to treat the effects of sin by encouraging people to promote the causes of sin.
· Rather than teach chastity to our youth, they teach sex education.
· Rather than teach fidelity in marriage, they teach the virtues of divorce and infidelity
· Rather than strengthen the family, which is the foundation of our democracy, they destroy the sanctity of marriage between a man and a woman
· Rather than teach the sacredness of gender, they teach that gender is a choice and even encourage youth to change their gender as if that were possible
· Rather than teach the law of equality, they divide us into tribes, pitting one against another
· Rather than teach the virtues, they extol the vices
· Rather than teach the Ten Commandments, which is the law of liberty, they encourage the violation of the Ten Commandments in the name of freedom
· Rather than teach, ‘thou shalt not kill” they glorify abortion
· Rather than teach ‘thou shalt not steal’ they encourage looting by making it a misdemeanor
· Rather than teach honor thy Father and thy Mother, they attack marriage, promote children’s rights, and pit children against parents.
· Rather than teach, thou shalt not covet, they teach redistribution of wealth
· Rather than teach, thou shalt not bear false witness, they promote propaganda
· Rather than teach Love the Lord, they promote atheism
· Rather than teach thou shalt have no other Gods before me, they promote idol worship, particularly the idols of hedonism
The list, of course, doesn’t end; therefore, the consequences won’t end either and the consequences will be the destruction of liberty. It can end in nor other way.
