Notice throughout the last few years there is always some kind of build up regarding seemingly prophetic events? Then as sure as they mounted up, all of a sudden it was like nothing was ever happening. Everything went into a kind of lull. This feels like an exercise. Well, lately I have noticed this same kind of lull again.
For the last several months we have been seeing that same kind of intensifying build up. Dire reports of every kind backed up with fact. All of it being real. Yet there is this "everything-seems-just-fine" air. But the truth is that nothing is "fine." It is strange, weird and odd.
In Bible reading and meditation this morning I was thinking about this lull. Then from deep within I heard:
"This is no lull like the other times. Everyone has had a long time to prepare materially. This will be a short lull with a singular and critical purpose. There has been given a long time for everyone to prepare materially. But now this lull is the time to turn to the Lord and fortify. To those that will not, they will not be able to stand in what is coming with certainty. This IS the time to prepare spiritually in Christ, in His great power."
This is only a very short lull before this window will close. What is coming swiftly upon this world will be upon everyone with immense spiritual force. It is more than just having a food supply, but the great supply of power by prayer and being saturated in the word of God. This is the final ready mark. This lull is not the time to be lazy.
King Asa did all he could to prepare his entire kingdom, the people and his armies. He also commanded them to seek the Lord for themselves. Then Zerah the Ethiopian came against him with a million man army. Though King Asa prepared for ten years, it was not enough to defeat the great force of Zerah's men and three hundred chariots. That is when King Asa "cried unto the Lord his God" and his entire kingdom was delivered. Because he sought the Lord His God and prepared everyone else to do the same. This is our call. Amen.
"What hinders me from hearing is that I am taken up with other things. It is not that I will not hear God, but I am not devoted in the right place. I am devoted to things, to service, to convictions, and God may say what He likes but I do not hear Him.” ― Oswald Chambers
