This is one of my favorite episodes! My guest is Ryan Anderson who played 12 years in the NBA. Ryan grew up in El Dorado Hills, CA and won a high school state championship at Arco Arena, his Senior year of high school. We start off talking about family life as Ryan is now the father of a one- and three-year-old. Ryan talks about growing up in California and being drafted in the first round by New Jersey. He shares a funny story of his mom on draft night. Ryan then discusses the impact Monty Williams has had on his life. The now Phoenix Suns coach was there for Ryan when his girlfriend committed suicide when Ryan played for New Orleans. Ryan goes into great detail the pain he suffered and how the suicide of his girlfriend changed his life. We then talk about how Ryan was there for Monty when he lost his wife in an automobile accident. I then asked Ryan if he had any regrets looking back at his NBA career and gives a very interesting response regarding his time with the Houston Rockets. We close the interview by talking about Sacramento, his winning the high school title and what's next in his life!
