Episode 15 with Tammy Darcy from The Shona Project on bullying, mental health awareness in teens and working through struggles.
This week on the pod I chat to Tammy Darcy who is the founder of The Shona Project who educates, empowers and inspires Irish girls in schools around the country about becoming more confident and strong in themselves.
This episode really touched me and pulled on my heart strings as Tammy opens up why she started The Shona Project. It was all because of her sister Shona who had a brain injury at 14 after this things changed so much and the relationship she had with her sister changed to. Tammy experienced bullying , low self esteem and didn't know what to do but years after she left her job and wanted to create something to educate and give back to young girls so they had to tools to cope.
This chat was very special to me and something I have always wanted to open up about which was my own insecurities and triggers with bullying.
