Andy Stevens joined the Army at 18, became a Commissioned Officer at 19, he is a Veteran of the 1982 Falklands War, he volunteered to work in Bomb Disposal and at the age of 27 worked in Belfast receiving an award for gallantry. He became a Member of the Institute of Management and has two Masters degrees. He has served in Germany and Hong Kong and has completed three tours in Iraq and one tour in Afghanistan. He has 18 months of operational experience working with American armed forces in a Counter Improvised Explosive Device Role and his work was recognised with the awarding of a Bronze Star Medal and he also received the US Meritorious Service Medal twice! In 2014 after 33 years Service Andy was medically discharged suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. He now does a variety of unpaid voluntary activities.
