Stevie Johnson talks Tennis with Craig Shapiro
In 2016 Stevie Johnson grew up in Orange County and had the most elite career in college tennis history, leading USC to four straight NCAA championships. In 2016 he won his first tour title in Nottingham, got to the round of 16 at Wimbledon, and got to 21 in the world when his father unexpectedly died in his sleep. He had a difficult time for the next couple years.
We discussed his career what he had to do to get back on track, the machinations inside of the ATP, as well as the PTPA. We talked about the new coaching experiment on tour, the Djokovic situation, as well as the prevalence of Therapeutic Use Exemptions (TUE) for Adderall that are suspicious.
