On Jan. 15, 2006, the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife responded to a report of a plastic container floating in Puget Sound. Inside the container, they would discover the body of a 33-year-old mother named Shanan Lynn Read. For more than 16 years, the case went unsolved, but investigators now say they know who is responsible.
