Episode 97 - The Murder of Grace Brown & Fyre Festival
This week, Amber is joined by guest co-host, Allison Buist! Allison covers the murder of Grace Brown. On July 11, 1906, 19-year old Grace Brown and Chester Gillette were out rowing on Big Moose Lake in upstate New York. Grace was pregnant and she knew that she would be forever shamed if she were to be an unwed mother. This had caused tension between the pair. Chester thought of himself as a ladies man who could not be tied down. But when Grace's body is found in Big Moose Lake, Chester can't seem to keep his story straight.
Amber and Allison shared a bottle of Atico Tempranillo Monastrel 2019. Chef's kiss!

Then Amber covers the Fyre Festival. The Fyre Festival was advertised as a luxury music festival founded by Billy McFarland. It was created with the intent to promote a music talent booking app for his company Fyre Media, that McFarland had just launched. However, after burning through investment money, taking out short-term loans, losing the lease on the intended location and several other poor choices made along the way, what was supposed to be a luxury festival turned into a complete disaster.
