Ann McCallum Staats is a former teacher and the author of nine non-fiction books for young readers, including The Secret Life of Math; Eat Your Science Homework: Recipes for Inquiring Minds; Women Heroes of the US Army: Remarkable Heroes from the American Revolution to Today; Thrill Seekers: 15 Remarkable Women in Extreme Sports; and her most recent book, High Flyers: 15 Inspiring Women Aviators and Astronauts, which launched on July 19th 2022.
