Align With God's Rest

Do you find it hard to rest? Do your emotions sometimes get in the way? If you long to learn how to invite God into your emotions and desires, and experience nearness to His heart, this episode is for you. Enjoy this training based on Isaiah 30 with an exercise at the 15 minute mark, that leads you into deeper rest and abiding.

Quietness: QUIETNESS- idle, undisturbed, inactive, silent……2453a שֶׁקֶט (šeqeṭ) tranquility (I Chr 22:9).šāqaṭ occurs forty-one times, in the Qal and Hiphil. Some of the words with which it is associated or whose meanings it sometimes overlaps are 1) beṭaḥ “security,” “a feeling of confidence”; 2) nûaḥ “settle down,” “rest”; 3) ḥāraš “be silent,” “be inactive”; 4) dāmâ “be silent”; 5) dāmam “be motionless, physically quiet”; 6) šaʾănān “ease,” “undisturbed, without anxiety” and 7) šābat “cease, rest from activity.”

Trust: in Hebrew, bāṭaḥ expresses that sense of well-being and security which results from having something or someone in whom to place confidence
