For when you're feeling numbness or nothingness
At some point in our lives we all experience some sort of emotional pain, if we experience shame and judgement for expressing this pain as well as shame and judgement for expressing joy and happiness, this can lead to feelings of numbness, nothingness, and perhaps even emptiness. WHICH tends to lead to stress and anxiety because then you're like "WHY DO I FEEL NOTHING!? WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME!???" (Obviously please, go seek medical health care, talk to your doctor, talk to a therapist, everyone is different. This podcast is for educational purposes only and is not a substitute for therapy or other healthcare services. ) We do learn certain behaviours and patterns as coping skills to keep us safe and this sense of numbness might be a result of something that you picked up along the way in order to function in your family, friend groups, relationships, workplace, and in society.
