In this interview with journalist and NYT best-selling author, Keith O’Brien, he shares how he was inspired to follow the trail through history to tell the stories of the women who competed in the 1936 Bendix Air Race. I was fascinated to learn about his treasure hunt to find the personal documents of the women he highlights and about why he told their tale against the backdrop of aviation history.
