Watch Along on YouTube
If you're curious about how therapists choose different modalities to help their clients heal, this episode of Therapy Talks is for you. In this week's episode, Joelle Maletis and Hailey Kanigan discuss using therapy techniques, like CBT, and EMDR to help their clients reach their goals. They also chat about how the process of therapy can only be effective if we understand that each client has unique challenges and a unique process of healing.
Oftentimes when we want to heal, we have to first feel like we are capable of healing before the process of healing really starts. Joelle and Hailey discuss using traditionally later phases of therapy like EMDR early on in their sessions to help with the process to help show clients what resilience feels like and how the overall process of therapy can be effective.
