Post 2020 College Education

Today on the show, True North Homeschool Academy Director, Lisa Nehring talks with John Witherspoon College President Dr. John Swann. We’re talking about worldview and how 2020 has created an environment where it is more necessary than ever before for parents to consider alternative forms of education for their kids.

2020 was a watershed year in our country, and it changed the culture of our county, altering how everyone looked at and trusted institutions. People began to view institutions as not working in their best interest, which has caused destabilization in many industries.

Education, in particular had big changes due to

1. Not being tied down to a location
2. The non-educational agenda inserted into education.

Public education has a very lock step agenda that allows little to no diversity for thought.

The reasons for this is that

1. the church has been too passive and has allowed an encroachment of paganism into the church
2. Disillusionment with Christian values

America has gone from a Christian culture to a non Christian culture and since 2020, we’ve been an anti-Christian culture.

Parents and students need to choose college wisely. Consider the world view as well as the academic integrity of the institution.

What will make our kids successful in the future? According to the World Economic Forum, only two of those top 10 skills required will be tech skills.The remainder are interpersonal skills
