Caissie St. Onge is a writer, producer, showrunner and podcaster. She and Busy Philipps currently co host the podcast 'Busy Philipps is Doing Her Best' which can be heard on the major podcast platforms. How did it all start? Well, Caissie was David Letterman's assistant-at perhaps the most pivotal point in his career-when he made the move to CBS. She did this despite the fact that she didn't know how to operate a manual transmission. Caissie and Mike have a tremendous conversation about her time with the show and what she learned from it. Coming straight from college with only a dream, she went to work for, and was taught in a beautiful, unique way by one of the most talented performers and writers of all time, David Letterman. Caissie tells many stories of what it was like back then, and went through her evolution to working for Rosie O'Donnell (no relation to Steve that we know of) and she and Mike discuss how the landscape of women in entertainment has changed, and how it could change further. They also talk about Prince.
