Episode 104: Escape From New York (1981)

This week at The Film Club we're talking about the Scifi action film Escape From New York. The film takes place in the distant future of 1997 in Manhattan, New York where the once populated city has been turned into the country's only maximum security prison. An anti-government group hijacks Air Force One and crashes it into the violent prison leaving the President hostage to the angry prisoners. A prisoner who happens to be an Ex Soldier named Snake Plissken is brought in to save the President with the catch of having only 24 hours to complete this task or he will face immanent death. Snake lands into Manhattan and not only has to search the entire city to find the President but must survive the prisoners. Can Snake and the President survive the prison world?
