Hexcrawl 32 - Leaving the Ship, Pod Plant Battle, and Across the Moorland
Benji the Bard leads Thronor, Jorgrim, Jhank, and Sly Zib as they try to figure out what the crystal DarkWizard wants so much actually does. They travel toward the hunting lodge and find the mud bowl with mushrooms that the Old Beldame talked about, but unfortunately it's got a bodytaker plant and some pod people, so combat ensues in which Sly Zib almost gets consumed by the plant several times. After harvesting the remaining mushrooms, they continue through the moors and find some rusty crow cages, a dwarven watchtower with evidence of troll habitation, a hellwasp pretending to be a child, and a new fortified farmstead run by the Church of Chauntea. They meet up with Umgurn at the Giant Skunk Hunting Lodge and identify the crystal as a source of planar portal power, which complicates the question of whether to give it to DarkWizard since Jhank says "It belongs in a museum!"
