The Legendary Bullet - Episode 1 - Explorers - Jacqui Furneaux
Welcome to The Legendary Bullet Podcast, stories around the Royal Enfield Bullet, the world's oldest motorcycle in continuous production. In this first episode, Gordon May speaks to round-the-world Bullet adventurer, Jacqui Furneaux. Hailing from Bristol in the UK, Jacqui spent 7 years riding her 500 Bullet around the world, commencing her life-changing journey at the age of 50. Author of the acclaimed book, Hit The Road Jac!, she shares some of her incredible experiences with us as well as gives valuable tips for solo motorcycle travel, especially for women.
Unveiled 90 years ago in 1932, the legendary Bullet has stood the test of time as a sports bike, a trials bike, a commuter, a vehicle for exploration, the basis of tens of thousands of custom builds, and an ally of the armed forces. In India, it has been the king of the road since 1955 and unquestionably laid solid foundations for Royal Enfield as we know it today.
In recognition of its unprecedented endurance as the longest motorcycle model in continuous production, we will be talking to people to whom the Bullet means everything over the coming months. They are explorers; restorers and mechanics; customizers and members of the Bullet riding community.
