Super typhoon Nanmadol: winds at the centre of the storm blowing at 198kph and gusting up to 270kph

Millions in Japan are urged to shelter or evacuate as super typhoon Nanmadol (pictured) closes in on the country - "Japan issues special typhoon warning as 'unprecedented' storm approaches".
